Core Pillars (The 5-Point Plan)
1. Prioritize Habitual Repeat Offenders
- Fast-track chronic and repeat offenders directly for trial or formal resolution.
- Prevent backlog delay that leaves our community vulnerable to recurring crime.
2. Tackle Serious & Violent Crime
- Firmly seek "hold without bail" for individuals charged with serious, violent offenses.
- Ensure victims and community safety remain the primary consideration in pre-trial decisions.
3. Disrupt Out-of-State Drug Trafficking
- Partner directly with local and state law enforcement to target drug distribution networks impacting our towns.
- Focus prosecutorial resources on dismantling the supply lines driving local substance epidemics.
4. Engage Restorative Justice & Diversion
- Collaborate closely with local restorative justice centers to resolve low-level offenses outside traditional courtrooms.
- Engage with community justice partners in providing clear pathways to rehabilitation to those that seek it.
5. Support Vulnerable Families & Children
- Work proactively with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) and community advocates throughout the CHINS (Children in Need of Care or Supervision) court process.
- Provide stable, compassionate legal intervention to protect children and assist families in crisis.
